Odin Riding Sleipnir Bronze Pendant
Pendant sold separately, perfect with:
➡️ Genuine Leather Cord
➡️ Fine Sterling Silver Chain
Odin is the most important god in the Norse pantheon. He created Midgard, the world of men, and the human beings to populate it.
He is the king of the Aesir gods and was recognized by the Vikings as the god of war, wisdom, wanderers, writing, and witchcraft.
All Vikings carried Odin in their heart as their principal deity.
On this stunning sterling silver pendant Odin is depicted carrying his exchanged spear Gungnir and a traditional Viking round shield decorated with the Black Sun. He is also surrounded by a circle of runes, which he himself discovered and shared with mankind.
He is riding Sleipnir, his eight-legged steed that was the fastest and best of all horses and one of the few beings able to move easily between the different worlds of the Norse cosmos.
Sleipnir is an impossible animal because he has Loki as a mother, as Loki gave birth to the horse while shapeshifted into a mare, and then gave the young animal to Odin.
Together this pendant venerates Odin, and also represents the ability to do and be the impossible.
