While Thor might be the most popular Viking god today, Odin was the most important deity among the Vikings. A creator deity and the father of the Aesir gods, he was the god of war, wisdom, witchcraft, poetry, the runes, death, and Valhalla. It was to Odin that the Vikings cried "Hail Odin" before going into battle. And it was Odin that they asked to take their souls to Valhalla after death.

The magnificent battles and powerful characters of ancient Norse sagas come to life in this special Viking collection.
